Please give to pancreatic cancer research
About a month before my wedding, my grandmother died of pancreatic cancer. I'll never forget the prayer my grandfather tried to give before dinner that he couldn't quite finish.
Marc Lustgarten was a public school teacher in New York City before becoming an attorney and working his way up to a seat on the board of directors at Cablevision. He was only 52 when he also succumbed to pancreatic cancer.
In his memory, The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research was established "to advance the scientific and medical research related to the diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of pancreatic cancer." This organization is sponsoring a walk this fall that I'll be participating in to raise money for the cause.
