You may get that ham sammich sooner rather than later.
I heard about this Visto thingy last week but there were no details available at the time...from what I can tell now it works via a progam that runs on your desktop computer all the time relaying messages to the iPhone. It sounds like this is workable theoretically, but I don't think it can be a solution for me.

I'm holding out for "proper" Exchange integration, along the lines of this:

ActiveSync is already widely used and would be an easy ticket into corporate America. One thing to keep in mind is that this feature could show up at any time via an iPhone software update.

I'd also like to see the iPhone's radio upgraded to work with 3G cellphone networks, which could definitely happen with iPhone 2.0.
